When did you move into your home?
We moved on January 13, 2021.
What home plan do you have?
We chose the Stafford – Elevation A.
What is your decorating inspiration?
Farmhouse Modern (or pretty much anything you can get at Target 😊)
What are your favorite features in your home?
Our favorite features of the Stafford plan have to be the large windows and all of the natural light it provides. On most days we don’t even need to use any lighting. Another feature we like is the space. The bedrooms and closets are all a good size. We also added the kitchen and mudroom extension which provided more space and a larger pantry, which we love for the extra storage.
What was your building process /Eastbrook experience like?
Our experience was great. Everyone we worked with at Eastbrook really wanted to make sure we had a great experience building with them. Martha, Travis, and Tim were especially helpful. All three had great communication and follow-up.
Do you have any tips or tricks for new homeowners?
We created a spreadsheet with all the options we would like to have and included prices. This helped us identify “must-haves” vs. “nice to haves” to keep us within our budget. It was also helpful to think about how we were going to use each room and plan accordingly for any additional cable jacks, electrical outlets, network cables, etc. For example, if you like to decorate outside, you might consider adding electrical outlets accordingly while the home is under construction. It will save you a lot of money in the long run.
