Giving Back – Strengthening Our Communities from the Ground Up
At Eastbrook Homes, we believe in giving back to our local communities through direct effort. What started off in 2017 as a fundraising event series called Taste and Tour has turned into a year-round giving campaign that supports our partnering non-profits.
With help from the homeowners, clients, friends, and volunteers who make up our Eastbrook Family, our giving campaigns have raised more than $730,000 since 2017 for our non-profit partners in West Michigan, Greater Lansing, and Auburn, Alabama.
These funds have helped to support important causes like affordable housing, health services, kids and family services, services for women, and more.
This year, we are changing things up to be a little more effective and provide funding directly to our non-profit partners.
Starting this year, we are transitioning away from the event series of Taste and Tour to support our non-profit partner’s fundraising efforts by helping to promote their virtual events, social campaigns, Giving Tuesday plans, and much more.
As part of this change, we have created a new Giving page to help promote our efforts and share information about the groups we support. Our goal is to create the biggest impact we can for the people in need in our communities.
“Twenty-five dollars adds up. There’s a collective impact there,” said Kate O’Keefe, director of development and community engagement for Family Promise of Grand Rapids. “That money goes a long way toward feeding families, getting cars fixed, and providing day care opportunities.”
We support a wide range of area non-profit groups that make a positive difference in our local communities. Here are just a few –
Home Repair Services – provides critical repairs services that impact health and safety such as plumbing, roofing, heating, and more. Also provides home accessibility services.
Women’s Resource Center – educates and empowers women for workplace success by partnering with caring individuals and organizations to transform the employment outcomes for all women.
D.A. Blodgett St. Johns – provides counseling, foster care, adoptions, mentoring, and residential care to ensure all children and families have the love, support, and resources, they need to thrive today and into the future.
Ele’s Place – a healing center for grieving children, teens, young adults, and their families where they can find a warm, welcoming place and begin to heal after the death of a parent, sibling, or someone close to them.
These are just a few of the many groups providing real change in our local communities. Please join us as we support their missions and help raise the money they need to continue to impact those in need.
