Discover How Eastbrook Builds for Energy Efficiency

Building your dream home is about more than choosing the right floor plan or finishes. It’s about creating a home that delivers lasting comfort, value, and peace of mind. With our Eastbrook Energy Efficiency (E3) approach, we design and build your home with long-term savings in mind. By focusing on efficiency and sustainability, you can get more home for your money. Read on to learn more about some of the features Eastbrook includes to create your comfortable, high-performance dream home!
Eastbrook Energy Efficiency 101
E3 is about making sure every part of your home is working together to maximize energy performance and ensure long-term utility and maintenance cost savings. From the building materials and construction techniques to the appliances and utility systems, we take a holistic approach to homebuilding that goes above and beyond to insulate and protect your home. The result? Greater indoor comfort, better energy performance, and a more affordable home you can be confident in for years to come.
Energy Efficient Design and Engineering
From what we build to how we build it, Eastbrook crafts every detail with care and attention to create long-term value for your dream home. We use unique R-38 attic insulation in combination with open-cell foam insulation to form a continuous air barrier, reducing the energy needed to heat and cool your home while also dampening noise and improving indoor air quality. L-corner framing creates more room for this insulation in the walls of your home, making sure that when temperatures get high, your power bill doesn’t.
Healthier, Sustainable Materials
We want our homes to be healthy and safe places for both your family and for the environment. That’s why we choose low-VOC materials and interior finishes that are both healthier and more sustainable than traditional materials. We partner with Shaw Floors, who produce 85% of their products from recycled material and responsibly sourced wood, all of which have low-VOC ratings. We also offer Sherwin Williams Scuff Tuff Latex paints, which are durable against scuffs and everyday wear and tear while also being an award-winning Green Builder Sustainable Product.
Green Appliances and Systems
At Eastbrook, we don’t just want to make homes affordable to build: we want them to be affordable to live in, too. That’s why, when we build your dream home, we focus on saving you energy costs in the systems and appliances you use every day. High-efficiency light bulbs provide 90% more lighting efficiency than incandescent bulbs, and Energy Star appliances provide top-quality performance while using a fraction of the electricity over their lifespan. A programmable thermostat lets you create a custom schedule that matches the rhythms of your day, offering more comfort for your dollar.
