Shelly share their best tips and tricks for new home buyers, her favorite things about their Georgetown home plan, and what the word Home means to their family. She also provided some great feedback on how we’re doing with the Eastbrook Building Process.
Read on and see what Shelly has to say!
EBH: When did you move into your home?
S: The week between Christmas 2019 and the New Year. We were grateful for a mild week!
EBH: What home plan do you have?
EBH: What does “home” mean to you and your family?
S: “Home” is our sanctuary; a comfortable place that we enjoy coming home to, and also a welcoming space to share with family and friends.
EBH: What community are you in?
S: We’re in Cooks Crossing. We love it here!
EBH: What is your decorating inspiration?
S: We wanted to combine both warm and cooler tones, with lots of windows to bring the outdoors inside.
EBH: What are your favorite features in your home?
S: We love our Michigan room! Our lot overlooks a wooded area, making it almost feel like a treehouse. We love the two-sided fireplace and the open floor plan that was created by adding the extra room. We finished the walkout level and poured a patio along the full length of the house with a firepit area, which provides lots of living and entertaining space for family.
EBH: What was your building process/Eastbrook experience like?
S: We had a really good experience. With all of the decisions about lot and floor plan choices, interior and exterior selections, the sales and design team were very helpful! During the construction process, Tim was great too. He always took time to address our questions and concerns.
EBH: Do you have any tips or tricks for new homeowners?
S: Yes. Do your homework and have some of your own personal style to bring to the table, but use the design service too. Bethany was fantastic! She quickly pulled options together that we would have struggled with. Priceless!
Second, line up a contractor for your lawn well in advance. Ours was delayed due to Covid-19, but once things reopened, they started at the top of the list. Susan had suggested we get on a list early, I’m glad we took her advice!
Thank you, Shelly & Mark, for so many great tips that will help our new home buyers through the process.
