Homeowner Highlight with Alyssa and Matthew

Moving into a new home, whether you’re buying or building, is a major life transition. To help provide peace of mind to new homeowners as they navigate this change, Eastbrook Homes is proud to continue our Homeowner Highlights series, where we provide tips and insights from homeowners who are a part of the Eastbrook community.

This edition features Alyssa and Matthew, who began designing their new Eastbrook home with their growing family in mind. From the outset, the couple shared a common goal for the design of their dream home, and the Eastbrook team helped walk them through the building process that brought their vision to life. Thanks to constant communication and a sharp attention to detail, Eastbrook Homes was able to shape an inviting, cozy space that Alyssa, Matthew, and their newborn child could call home for years to come.

When did you move into your home? 

We moved in July of 2022.

What home plan do you have?

 We have the Sebastian home plan, Exterior Elevation D.

How did you incorporate your family’s lifestyle into your home? 

We made sure to design each space with a bigger picture in mind, as we were expecting our first child in September.

What is your decorating inspiration? 

We both have similar taste in modern design, so neutral colors and clean lines were our inspiration when designing our home. We love the idea of bringing pops of color to our space through our furniture and decorations.

What do you love about your Eastbrook community? 

We love how every home is unique in its own way, as it was designed by the owners who live there. We also love the location of the development. We’ve been able to take advantage of the nearby park, and we are conveniently 20 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids.

What are your favorite features in your home? 

We love the natural light and openness of our home. There’s a beautiful backyard which we can see from all angles. 

What was your building process /Eastbrook experience like? 

Our experience with Eastbrook was great. We were in constant communication with them and enjoyed visiting our home as it was built. Everything from the design stage at their facility to the final paint touches in our newly built home was seamless.

What does “home” mean to you? 

Home to us is the sense of peace and relaxation, and we feel our home brings just that. 

Do you have any tips or tricks for new homeowners? 

There are no bad questions. If you’re building your dream home, you want to make sure it’s exactly how you imagine it.

We just want to thank Eastbrook for this incredible home and for making our building experience enjoyable.
