Introducing Our Taste and Tour 2019 Non-Profit Partners
Introducing Our Taste and Tour 2019 Non-Profit Partners
At Eastbrook Homes, we are about to kick off our third annual Taste and Tour Celebration, where visitors can see new home plans, get info on new phases, check out new models and much more.
Because our team believes in giving back to the local community in real, meaningful ways, Taste and Tour is about so much more. Our team has created a series of events throughout the month of October to help support West Michigan and Greater Lansing area charities.
At each of the Taste and Tour locations, our visitors will have the opportunity to donate to one of the incredible organizations that create real change in our local communities. This week, we would like to introduce those groups to you.
Grand Rapids and Rockford
Women’s Resource Center advocates for women to achieve economic independence through meaningful employment. Our programs and services empower and educate.
We help women discover their strengths and talents while overcoming barriers to employment and economic independence.
HRS provides critical resources to support homeowners in the maintenance and improvement of one of their most important investments – their home.
Our partnership with Eastbrook Homes for the Taste & Tour will undoubtedly amplify our efforts, expanding our reach in terms of agency visibility for both interested program participants, and for possible new supporters of our work.
Safe Haven Ministries is a comprehensive domestic violence agency providing residential and nonresidential services to individuals who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse.
Our services include emergency safe shelter, case management, support groups, a 24/7 hotline, children’s programming and connections to other community resources. All survivor-centered services are completely confidential and provided at no cost to participants.
Through our prevention and education work also we help employers, faith communities, schools, and other agencies create a culture of violence prevention through training and resources to stop abuse before it can begin.
Taste & Tour will allow Safe Haven to engage with the community we serve, while allowing us to raise critical funds that support our work.
Wedgwood Christian Services extends God’s love to youth and families through professional counseling and educational services. Wedgwood is always responding to community needs – developing programs and training staff to respond to issues people are facing in our community.
Eastbrook Homes’ Taste & Tour will provide Wedgwood with the opportunity to let more people know about all the services we offer and share our mission and vision of creating a better West Michigan.
Through our interdisciplinary approach to the whole person, we meet the therapeutic and educational needs of clients through skill building, academic enhancement, and social and emotional support.
We offer speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, and sensory integration and motor therapies.
Since 2014, HQ’s doors have been open to youth experiencing a housing crisis. HQ hosts eight drop-in sessions each week where youth can find rest, access resources such as laundry facilities, warm meals, showers, and more in a safe and affirming space.
HQ believes that when we meet youth where they are and provide a space to meet basic needs and develop transformative relationships, then we can begin to break the cycle of homelessness. Every youth should be able to find the support they need and deserves the opportunity to realize their dreams.
Family Promise of Grand Rapids provides emergency shelter and basic needs to families with children who are homeless. We help families find a place to call home and walk along-side them so they don’t become homeless again.
Taste and Tour will help us raise awareness about the issue of family homelessness here in our community. We seek to educate Taste and Tour visitors about the hidden faces of homelessness: children.
We provide counseling, foster care, adoption, mentoring, and residential care. We provide more than 20 services, impact 9000 lives every year, and work tirelessly to ensure all children and families have all the support and resources they need.
Taste and Tour will expose our mission to the community and build awareness about a very important need to help those in West Michigan that need us most.
We believe all people deserve safe, clean, affordable housing. We envision vibrant communities in West Michigan with connected neighbors, housing justice and abundant opportunity.
As a second time participate in the Taste and Tour event, ICCF will benefit greatly, just as we did last year. The donations help us to continue to do our critical work of providing housing and transforming lives.
Holland, Allendale, Grand Haven, & Whitehall
Kids’ Food Basket is a community solution to childhood hunger. We engage all who care about children reaching their full potential – in school and in life. Kids’ Food Basket is West Michigan’s largest volunteer-driven organization providing critical services of evening nourishing meals delivered directly to kids at our service schools.
Taste & Tour will be coming alongside of us to help ensure that we have all three of these necessary pieces by helping to raise funds and awareness. We truly could not do the work we do without partners like Eastbrook Homes.
We help people in our community by mobilizing churches, volunteers, and donated resources for the purpose of encouraging, educating and empowering individuals and families on their journey to realizing their God-given abilities.
Taste and Tour impacts us financially and promotes our mission.
Mosaic’s Counseling’s mission is to offer hope and healing for all by providing accessible and affordable professional counseling services. Mosaic Counseling NEVER turns anyone away. Ever.
Taste and Tour will make a drastic difference to stay with our mission. Every dollar raised literally translates into $3+ dollars of mental health care. Current primary focus is Suicide Prevention training (QPR) for all and expand our School Outreach Program to help as many youths as possible. We currently have trained over 5,000 people in suicide prevention and hope to grow those numbers.
Ele’s Place is a nonprofit, community-based organization dedicated to creating awareness of and support for grieving children and their families. Through peer support group programs, Ele’s Place helps children to cope with the death of a parent, sibling or other loved one.
Lansing
Our mission is to strengthen and support children, families, and individuals as they evolve and grow in a changing community.
Taste and Tour will allow us to reach more possible community partners who could make a difference in the lives of the 8,000 abused, neglected, and at-risk children and families that we serve; and potentially allow us to reach more people.
St. Vincent Catholic Charities
St. Vincent Catholic Charities is a local, charitable non-profit, dedicated to serving children and families in crisis in the mid-Michigan area. Currently, the agency has six different program areas of service: adoption, foster care, a residential Children’s Home, counseling services, an Immigration Law Clinic, and refugee resettlement.
In addition to generous financial support, Taste & Tour is a gift to STVCC by introducing STVCC’s work to members of the community who may not be familiar with it.
We save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer. Our bold goal is to reduce the number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in 2026.
The impact of Taste & Tour has helped contribute to our work in getting out the important message of know your normal and bringing more awareness and education to the community.
The Eastbrook Homes Taste and Tour 2019 will begin on Oct. 3rd at our Placid Waters community with a Happy Hour featuring Grand Haven charity, Love in Action. During Taste and Tour, visitors can also sample food and drinks from area restaurants, breweries, and more.
