I am the AP Manager/Project Accountant and I:
- Onboard and maintain accurate records and documentation for all our build partners (suppliers and subcontractors).
- Process and issue payments.
- Analytics, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Initiate and implement various projects.
What brought you to the homebuilding industry?
I was brought on as an Accounting Department Assistant with Eastbrook after college. I wanted to move on from Residential property management and was lucky enough to land at Eastbrook Homes 😊
Architecture
Erika Kuhnle
What is your position and what does it entail?
As the architecture department manager, I organize jobs with team members, checking in to see how things are going along the drawing process, and assisting with getting any questions answered. We work together to create new designs and maintain existing home plans. We research building and design trends, monitoring our drawing process as we go to ensure efficiency and accuracy. I review drawings to check that everything works structurally and that the systems coordinate, as well as checking for design and options.
What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of the job is taking care of my team, making sure we’re communicating well with others, and showing respect in our work. I am inspired by the efficiency of the Eastbrook building process, as well as the customers that make each home unique and special. It’s fun to embrace the Eastbrook motto of, “Design each home as if it were your own.” We want our homeowners to be happy!
Taryn Goforth
What is your position and what does it entail?
Architecture Draftsman. I make changes to plan drawings to relay what the clients want updated, changed, or added to their home so that the construction team can build from them.
What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part would be very hard to decide. I love to design new plans when given the opportunity, but I also am very meticulous in digging in to make sure my drawings are accurate, clean, and the best representation of what the client is expecting of their house in the end. I also love the idea that I helped create something that a person walks into and wakes up everyday in, where hopefully they take a look around and smile and call this their HOME.

What is your position and what does it entail?
I am the Customer Closing Manager. The majority of my role is preparing for and scheduling all of our closings. This includes the upkeep and organization of the electronic and hard file system at Eastbrook to make sure all I’s are dotted and T’s are crossed, sending needed documents to lenders and the title company, and coordinating the final pieces so that lenders can obtain their final approval when the home is completed.
What is your favorite part of your job?
I LOVE interacting with our buyers to schedule their closing. It is the final step of what can seem like a long process and it is so exciting pulling everything together to have them move into their dream home. It is especially sweet when I can hear about their story of what brought them to that specific area and community.

My background is in estimating, but I have been working on programming a new company-wide software for the last two years. During this time, I have been working on combining our five current programs into one that will provide a better, more complete experience for all of Eastbrook’s employees. Between Sales, Production, Estimating, and more, I have dipped my toes into almost every department during the process.

I grew up in the homebuilding industry, so I’ve been surrounded by construction and job sites since I was born. I followed in the footsteps of my dad, so it was only natural that I ended up in this industry.
