2017 Taste and Tour Week: Thank you for your participation!

Eastbook Homes would like to thank everyone who attended our 2017 Taste and Tour Event. We will be announcing prize winners this Thursday on Facebook between 4:00 and 6:00 pm. We have been extremely excited by the turnout at all of the 16 event locations across West Michigan and the Greater Lansing area. The Taste and Tour Event was such a success that we are already looking forward to repeating it. The feedback we received from our charity partners, and from the Eastbrook Homes staff, was incredible. Comments from the organizations involved in the Taste and Tour Event have been overwhelmingly positive and uplifting. Event volunteers from all of our charity partners were so passionate and encouraging that their enthusiasm was contagious.

Here are some of the comments we received –  “We were impressed at how Eastbrook Homes put the focus on the non-profit when interacting with Taste and Tour guests. It’s evident that giving back to the community is a top company value.” “We were so proud to stand alongside an amazing community partner like Eastbrook. For us, there is a special connection because we both want to help families find a place to call home. We are honored to work with Eastbrook to make sure this community is a thriving place for all.”

Staff Involvement

Our staff at Eastbrook Homes also benefited from the Taste and Tour Event. Staff members expressed appreciation for the chance to see parts of the home building process they were not usually exposed to and expressed greater appreciation for other departments. Staff members have also said that the event made them feel more closely linked to Eastbrook’s dedication to charity and stated that they would love more opportunities to volunteer as a team. Staff feedback included increased respect for Eastbrook’s communication with the home buyer during design and construction after staff members spoke with customers who attended the event.

The Eastbrook Homes Taste and Tour Event began as a celebration of our 50th anniversary and stemmed from our desire to give back to the community. However, the incredible success of this event has given us the drive to host future Taste and Tour Events so we can continue to spotlight and support our great local non-profit organizations and their causes. Please watch our Facebook page for our future event information. We hope to again feature free food and drink from local establishments, and the chance to win a wide range of prizes. We hope you will join us in supporting the incredible people who dedicate their time and resources to helping the individuals and families in need in our community. We are excited to announce that throughout the 4 days, we had 1077 attendees and between public contributions and matching funds from Eastbrook Homes, our Taste & Tour event generated $104,712 for the 16 non-profits, with each non-profit receiving over $5,000!
