Meet our Taste & Tour Non-Profits (Part 2)

In the weeks leading up to our 2nd Annual Taste and Tour, October 11th-14th, we’d like to introduce each participating non-profit. Learn more about how these non-profits are inspiring positive change in your community by reading their mission below and visiting them along your Taste and Tour route!
Holland, Allendale, Grand Haven, & Whitehall
Kids’ Food Basket’s mission is “Empowering communities to attack childhood hunger so that kids can learn and live well.” Kids’ Food Basket is the area’s largest volunteer driven organization providing critical services of evening nourishing meals are delivered directly to kids at our service schools.
Taste & Tour will be coming alongside of us to help ensure that we have all three of these necessary pieces by helping to raise funds and awareness. We truly could not do the work we do without partners like Eastbrook Homes.

We help people in our community by mobilizing churches, volunteers, and donated resources for the purpose of encouraging, educating and empowering individuals and families on their journey to realizing their God-given abilities.
Taste and Tour impacts us financially and promotes our mission.

TCM Counseling’s mission is to offer hope and healing for all by providing accessible and affordable professional counseling services. TCM NEVER turns anyone away. Ever.
Taste and Tour will make a drastic difference to stay with our mission. Every dollar raised literally translates into $3+ dollars of mental health care. Current primary focus is Suicide Prevention training (QPR) for all and expand our School Outreach Program to help as many youths as possible.

We save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer. Our bold goal is to reduce the number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in 2026.
The impact of Taste & Tour has helped contribute to our work in getting out the important message of know your normal and bringing more awareness and education to the community.

Grand Ledge, Dewitt, & Okemos
St. Vincent Catholic Charities
St. Vincent Catholic Charities is a local, charitable non-profit, dedicated to serving children and families in crisis in the mid-Michigan area. Currently the agency has six different program areas of service: adoption, foster care, a residential Children’s Home, counseling services, an Immigration Law Clinic and refugee resettlement.
In addition to generous financial support, Taste & Tour is a gift to STVCC by introducing STVCC’s work to members of the community who may not be familiar with it.

Ele’s Place is a nonprofit, community based organization dedicated to creating awareness of and support for grieving children and their families. Through peer support group programs, Ele’s Place helps children to cope with the death of a parent, sibling or other loved one.

Our mission is to strengthen and support children, families, and individuals as they evolve and grow in a changing community.
Taste and Tour will allow us to reach more possible community partners who could make a difference in the lives of the 7,000 abused, neglected, and at-risk children and families that we serve; and potentially allow us to reach more people.
