What home plan do you have?
How did you incorporate your family’s lifestyle into your home?
We are almost empty nesters, so the Rosemary villa was perfect for us because it gave us over 2,000 square feet on the main floor while giving us the extra space upstairs that we needed. We love to entertain, so the kitchen, dining room, living room, and Michigan room give us plenty of space to host family and friends.
What is your decorating inspiration?
Design and home decorating have always been a passion of mine. I love to make a house feel like a home. I would classify our home as a Modern Farmhouse. It all started with the picture that now hangs on the stairway wall in our home. It shows a black and white Highland cow and has wood trim accents which I carried through to the rest of the home.
What do you love about your Eastbrook community?
We love the amenities that Macatawa Legends offers, from the restaurant, golf course, and pool, to meeting our new neighbors. Everything has been a positive experience.
What are your favorite features in your home?
The screened-in porch with a fireplace and large paver patio is our favorite place to relax and hang out while watching TV. We frequently tell everyone who comes over that it is our favorite room in the house!
What does “home” mean to you?
Home is family, and home is peaceful. It brings you joy just being around those that you love. It is a place where friends and family can gather and they know they are welcome.
Any tips or tricks for new homeowners?
We loved being part of the building process. This is our 12th home build, and we enjoyed watching it come together. Be a part of the process, visit the job site, ask questions, and watch the progress which allows you to appreciate the finished home.
