For Ram and Pavithra, having a space that allowed them to host friends and family was a top priority when designing their home. Thanks to the knowledgeable Eastbrook professionals who guided them through the building process, they were able to craft a home that not only afforded them room to welcome guests, but also maintained a cozy atmosphere when they weren’t hosting. March 23rd, 2023

What home plan do you have? 

We have the Stockton.

How did you incorporate your family’s lifestyle into your home? 

We prefer to have a lot of family time and love to host friends. The open kitchen space, along with the Michigan room, provides us the desired space to make our home feel enjoyable and very inviting. We wanted our daughter to have a lot of space to play around, which was missing at our previous home. She loves it here and loves her new room!!

What is your decorating inspiration? 

Our idea was to have a minimalist yet contemporary style.

What do you love about your Eastbrook community? 

We love the people and the neighborhood first and foremost! We cannot wait to make great friends in summer and enjoy the beautiful space with ample walks in the lovely neighborhood.

What are your favorite features in your home?

We love the Michigan room! It is a great space to spend some cozy time with family. We also love the accent wall color we have chosen in our living space, Michigan, and office room. We customized the kitchen to suit our needs, and it came out fabulous! Also, the bay window is an excellent feature, especially to enjoy a hot cup of tea in winter with a book.

What was your building process /Eastbrook experience like? 

At no stage did we feel like it was just business with Eastbrook. They built our home with the same passion and interest as someone would build their own home. Their attention to detail and patience with all of our questions was admirable.  The people we worked with throughout the whole process, from booking to pre-construction meetings, design, and construction were all so knowledgeable. They are all truly masters of their profession! We really loved the way each of them advised us on intrinsic things that have added to the value of our home. The most important thing is that they were all ears to our questions and concerns. Our process took a little longer than usual, but we were always kept in the loop.

What does “home” mean to you? 

A house may just be a building with rooms and furniture, but a home is so much more! A home is this charming, cozy place where family laughs, chatters, and shares experiences together. It is not just a place where family lives, but where love is the glue that holds them together. It is a place where family connects, and joyful memories last a lifetime.

Do you have any tips or tricks for new homeowners? 

Especially for first-time home buyers like us, don’t hesitate to ask for what you want. There are experts who are willing to guide you and answer questions, so please ask questions throughout the process. Have a vision of how you want your home to be and be prepared for the design appointments. Be patient during the process. It feels overwhelming but it’s one of the most beautiful journeys. Cherish the memories!!!
