Welcome to another Eastbrook Homes Homeowner Highlight!
This time around we’re chatting with Lorraine who let us know that building her Linden-style home was so much fun – she’d do it all over again.
Lorraine also has some great information to share with other new home builders which includes advice about choosing a floor plan, making modifications, and working with a helpful designer at the Home Creation Studio.
Lorraine just completed her second home building experience with the Eastbrook Homes team, so let’s see what she has to say.
EBH: What home plan do you have?
L: We chose the Linden, a stand-alone condo plan that was offered last year.
EBH: What is your decorating inspiration?
L: Our inspiration comes mostly from looking at photos on Eastbrook’s website and visiting furniture stores.
EBH: What are your favorite features in your home?
L: Although there are many things, the Michigan Room with the 2-sided fireplace tops the list.
EBH: What was your building process/Eastbrook experience like?
L: In a word – simple! The people at Eastbrook make building a breeze. This is my second time building with Eastbrook. My first home was built 19 years ago, and the process was fun and easy then, so I wanted to go with them again.
They are a much larger company today, but the process is still very easy. Eastbrook offers a well-planned program for the entire home-building process. I was fortunate to have the same sales rep as I did with my first home. She is wonderful and so helpful with the home planning stage.
The designer at the Home Creations Studio was equally awesome! She was detail oriented, knowledgeable, made good suggestions and kept us on budget.
EBH: Do you have any tips or tricks for new home owners?
L: Think through how you use your home when choosing a floor plan. Don’t be afraid to make modifications, anything from adding an outlet to converting a coat closet into a broom closet or changing the size or of a room or location of a wall.
EBH: Any other thoughts you would like to add?
L: We love our new home. If it weren’t for the packing and moving part, I would do it all over again because it was so much fun!!
