When did you move into your home?

What home plan do you have?
How did you incorporate your family’s lifestyle into your home?
We love to entertain, but at our previous home, we felt we didn’t have a great space to open our home to friends and family as often as we wanted. It was very important to us to have a home that would be a very inviting and enjoyable space, not only for us, but for guests as well.
What is your decorating inspiration?
I guess we’d call it “minimal modern farmhouse,” but we also feel like we have a lot of different elements we’ve meshed together, especially when you take our basement into consideration!
What do you love about your Eastbrook community?
We enjoy taking walks as a family—the kids love going to the pond and little park area. It’s also a very friendly neighborhood.
What are your favorite features in your home?
We really love how custom to us it feels, and how everything was chosen and designed with a lot of intention and purpose. We also love our pantry pass-through to the garage.
What was your building process /Eastbrook experience like?
It was quite an experience, especially because we signed our contract just about 10 days before our son was born. So not only were we designing and building a brand new home, but we were also juggling life with a toddler and newborn! There was a lot of communication through the process which made things go smoothly.
What does “home” mean to you?
It’s a place where we can create memories as a family, and welcome friends. It’s warm, inviting, and comfortable.
Do you have any tips or tricks for new homeowners?
Don’t be afraid to ask for exactly what you want! We made several changes to the base layout and asked for a few elements that wouldn’t necessarily be considered traditional, but we knew what we wanted and what would work best for our family. Ask questions throughout the process, and take lots of pictures at each new stage of the build!
Any other thoughts you would like to add?
A few spaces in our home were things we finished customizing on our own after the home was completed, but Eastbrook did a great job laying the groundwork for those spaces. We’re just so happy to have our dream, forever home!
