Danny and Miles joined the Eastbrook family soon after realizing other homes on the market didn’t fit their budget and needs. A second-generation Eastbrook Homes homeowner, Miles came into the homebuilding process with multiple positive experiences, and Danny, with insider knowledge gleaned during a 2018 internship with Eastbrook, was equally excited to get started. Together they share details about their homebuilding journey and the advice they think every new homebuyer should know. 

When did you move into your home?

We moved in on July 25th— about a month ahead of schedule!

What home plan did you build? 

We built the Violet home plan from the terrace home series with elevation A.

What is your decorating inspiration? 

Our design style is modern/contemporary while keeping it functional! 

What do you love about your Eastbrook community? 

Our favorite memories in our home so far have been hosting family dinners and having bonfires with friends.

What is your favorite feature in your home? 

Our favorite features are definitely our tile shower, the floor-to-ceiling stone around the fireplace, and the painted beams up in the loft. Danny is especially excited about having his own office. 

What was your building process/Eastbrook experience like? 

We had a very positive building experience with Eastbrook. Any time we had a question or concern, our construction manager (shoutout Terry!!) made time to meet/speak with us to reconcile the issue. We also received frequent updates whenever something new was happening with construction. We also were given fantastic alternate selections when we ran into inevitable supply chain issues. We were very impressed with the timely correspondence whenever a change had to be made. 

Do you have any tips or tricks for new homeowners? 

Our biggest piece of advice for people who are building their first home is to come to your design appointment prepared with a vision. It makes the selection process much smoother. We also advise new homeowners to invest in the things that are important to them in their living space— you won’t regret it!
