Love in Action – Autumn Bash

Love in Action is a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to transforming lives by empowering individuals to thrive. They work with churches and volunteers to provide food, clothing, medical care, and shelter to those in need in the Tri-Cities. Their mission to uplift neighbors through practical support and spiritual guidance drives them.
Love in Action invites their community to join them for the Autumn Bash – an engaging evening starting with a silent auction, where you can bid on a variety of items throughout the night, followed by a fabulous dinner. The night will be filled with live music and exciting door prizes announced throughout the event.

Safe Haven Ministries – Fall Luncheon

Safe Haven Ministries is committed to supporting and empowering survivors of relationship abuse and human trafficking. Through education, empowerment, and community collaboration, they work to ensure that every individual has the right to a healthy relationship.
On September 17th, Safe Haven will host their Fall Luncheon, an annual fundraiser where the community will learn more about how their support impacts Safe Haven’s mission. Come together for an opportunity to network with locals, and enjoy a beautiful lunch at the JW Marriott Grand Rapids.

Mel Trotter – Season of Hope

Mel Trotter Ministries’ mission is to be the answer when someone asks “What do I do if I’m homeless?” Through demonstrating the compassion of Jesus Christ, along with community partnerships and innovative solutions, Mel Trotter Ministries aims to end homelessness one person at a time.
Season of Hope promises to be an incredible night, where guests will learn more about the powerful work of Mel Trotter ministries, and the lives they have touched.

Cristo Rey Community Center – Perennial Club Breakfast
9/24/24 | 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
The Cristo Rey Community Center’s mission is guided by the “work of the Catholic Church, to care for the spiritual, health, social, and financial needs of individuals and families by offering services that encourage self-sufficiency and recognize the dignity of the human person.” Join the Community Center on Tuesday, September 24th, as they host the Perennial Club Breakfast.

Ele’s Place – Fall Reception
9/26/24 | 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Ele’s Place, founded in 1991 in Lansing, MI, supports children and teens ages 3-18 grieving the loss of a loved one. Their mission is to ensure no child grieves alone. With more than 30 years of history, Ele’s place has provided more than 43,000 individuals a safe space for healing across Michigan.
Each year, Ele’s Place hosts a Fall Reception open to the public. During the event, supporters will enjoy food and activities, and learn more about the organization and how they can help. Each year, a family shares their personal experiences receiving the nonprofit’s support – highlighting the profound difference Ele’s Place makes in the community.

Wedgwood Christian Services – Anniversary Celebration
10/2/24 | 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
For more than 60 years, Wedgwood Christian Services has served as a safe place for kids who’ve experienced trauma to heal. Today, Wedgwood offers residential treatment for youth aged 6-17 who are faced with a variety of social and emotional challenges, as well as counseling to adults and families.
This year, Wedgwood celebrates 64 years of this graceful work at their Anniversary Celebration on October 2nd. During the event, guests will engage in the lives of the kids Wedgwood serves, helping them better understand the impact they make. From a kid-inspired community meal, to a walk through of journey and stories of strength, the itinerary is sure to be an enriching experience.

Women’s Resource Center – Wine, Women, and Chocolate

The Women’s Resource Center is dedicated to empowering women for workplace success through supportive programs and community partnerships in West Michigan. Since 1973, they have walked alongside women, fostering an inclusive and equitable culture where every woman can find meaningful employment and achieve economic independence, free from racism and discrimination.
The lovely hosts are “excited for the wine and chocolate sampling from local vendors, a silent auction with amazing packages, a wonderful raffle, and compelling stories of success by program participants at Women’s Resource Center.” Proceeds from the event support the mission and ensure the organization can continue to provide their services at no cost to women in need.
