Now that the Holidays have come and gone, people are beginning to think ahead to sunshine and warmer weather. It may seem a little early, especially with West Michigan and Greater Lansing ankle-deep in snow. However, there are actually just under 60 days left until the first day of Spring.
This week, we’re visiting with Ryan and Lindsey in the Eastbrook community of Town Square for our latest Homeowner Highlight. For residents of our Town Square community, located near Rockford, MI, it’s easy to enjoy the beautiful natural resources that surround the area.
Town Square features E3 energy efficient Single-Family homes and low-maintenance Townhomes surrounded by wide open spaces, beautiful lakes, and great attractions like the Cannonsburg Ski Area and the Fred Meijer Nature Preserve.
Although Town Square has a quiet, small-town feel, the beautiful community is also conveniently located less than 20 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids and all the city has to offer. A short drive brings Town Square residents to world-class cuisine, a wide variety of entertainment options, and shopping opportunities.
When first-time homeowners Ryan and Lindsey realized they could build a new home with everything they wanted and stay within their budget, they chose the community of Town Square.
Let’s stop in for a visit and see what they have to say about their experience.
EBH: When did you move into your home?
R&L: 3 months ago (September 2019)
EBH: What home plan do you have?
R&L: Georgetown
EBH: What is your decorating inspiration?
R&L: Comfy Farmhouse
EBH: What are your favorite features in your home?
R&L: Exposed Beams, Cathedral Ceilings, basement bar
EBH: What was your building process and the Eastbrook experience like?
R&L: Since we are a first time home builder, it was fun to pick out everything we wanted. We felt everyone at Eastbrook worked together really well to bring our vision to life.
EBH: What brought you to Eastbrook and why did you choose to build a home versus buy in the existing market?
R&L: We had just started looking at houses for sale when we came across listings for homes in Town Square. We decided to drive to Rockford just to see what they looked like. Coincidentally, there happened to be an open house that day. We were instantly drawn to all the finishes and styles of these homes. Once we learned we could get nearly everything we wanted in our first home for a price within our range, looking for homes in the existing market no longer became an option for us.
EBH: Do you have any tips or tricks for new homeowners?
R&L: Be open to suggestions, trust the process, have fun.
Thanks, Ryan and Lindsey, for your insight and information and congratulations on your new home!
