Selling the Old while Building the New

On a recent episode of At Home with Eastbrook Homes, host Eric Hultgren talked with Eastbrook Homes Sales Agent, Kurt Suidinski, to discuss the strategy of selling your existing home while building a new one.

With the housing market still hot and homes selling quickly, building a new home can take some planning and strategy to ensure there’s a roof overhead while your dream home is being completed.

Easier and Less Stressful

Since our clients do need to have a down payment, we look at the equity you have in your existing home (which was created by the increase in the home’s value year over year) and then help you find a lender to secure a home equity line of credit you can use for a down payment on the new construction.  

Then, to help make the transition easier, Eastbrook will finance the building process of your new home. This takes a lot of the stress out of the process for many of our clients.  

Once the process nears completion, you can put your existing home up for sale. We will then work out the timing so you can close on the sale of your existing home and take possession of your new home and make that transition as easy as possible.
