Eastbrook Homes and Energy Diagnostics
At Eastbrook Homes, we believe the quality of each of your home’s components is equally important, whether they are something you can see, like siding and shingles, or something you can’t. Like your home’s energy efficiency.
Energy efficiency is an important part of your new home’s construction. Even with modern materials and processes, it’s not easy to keep the warm and cold air on the right sides of the wall.
To do our best to conserve energy resources and reduce homeowners’ costs, we developed the Eastbrook Energy Efficiency Program. Our E3 Program ensures that our homes are built and remain energy efficient.
During construction, we focus on a simple but effective energy efficiency steps, such as sealing up the smallest cracks and seams, installing Energy Star rated appliances and using high-efficiency water heaters and furnaces. You can read more about our E3 Program here.
This year, we decided to take our commitment to energy efficiency a step further by partnering with Energy Diagnostics, Inc., an influential entity that has helped to shape the rapidly growing field of home energy ratings.
Founded in the early 1990’s, Energy Diagnostics has built a reputation for their commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
Although Energy Diagnostics, Inc provides services across the nation, their primary focus is on Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan.
As part of each new home build, our homeowners receive a customized packet specific to their new home. Inside, they will find their Home Energy Rating Score (HERS), information for better understanding that score, and an Energy Rating Report that explains everything that an energy-efficient home has to offer.
Working with Energy Diagnostics, our new energy efficiency rating company, we hope to improve our energy efficiency even further while ensuring our homeowners know how to maintain their HERS rating and control over their energy use.
At Eastbrook Homes, we always give you more home, and better energy efficiency, for the money!
