Holiday Homeowner Highlight with Carolyn

Our Eastbrook Homes extended family has grown this year, and we’re celebrating the fact that so many people are spending this Holiday Season in their new home. We reached out to a couple of new homeowners for some updates, and to ask how they plan to spend this holiday season. We would like to share some of those responses with you.

Meet Carolyn! She moved into her new Willow Home in our Placid Waters community in May of 2017. We checked in to see how things are going. Check out her interview and the photos of her gorgeous home below!

EBH: What has been your favorite thing about this community?

Carolyn: Multiple items. We love our house, the lake and the amazing sunsets! We have met great neighbors and truly enjoy how close we are to Grand Haven, Holland and Grand Rapids.

EBH: Is this your first holiday in your new home?

Carolyn: Yes it is.

EBH: How does your new space affect how you celebrate holidays?

Carolyn: We love to entertain, and feel our new place is designed perfectly to host family & friends any time of the year.

EBH: What is your holiday decoration inspiration?

Carolyn: Pinterest 🙂

EBH: Are you hosting any holiday parties in your new home? If so, what does that look like for you?

Carolyn: We will host a Christmas Eve Party & a cookie exchange, I look forward to having everyone together for both.

EBH: What does “home for the holidays” mean to you?

Carolyn: Spending quality time with the ones we love, being charitable and kind to one another.

EBH: Do you have any traditions you’re bringing to your new home?

Carolyn: We have Eggs Benedict for breakfast every Christmas and then we immediately open our gifts

EBH: Do you have new traditions you want to start?

Carolyn: We would like to donate time to a local charity

EBH: Are you planning to participate in any holiday event or activity in greater Placid Waters area? If so, which ones?

Carolyn: Fredrik Meijer Gardens and The Market in downtown Grand Rapids.

EBH: Would like to share any memories or specific things that stand out to you about your Eastbrook Journey?

Carolyn: We were extremely happy with our entire journey, and the Eastbrook team that we worked with throughout the process. Everyone was professional, responsive and friendly. We would recommend building with Eastbrook to anyone, as they truly put an emphasis on making the overall process as stress-free and streamlined as possible.
