Lowing Woods: A Premiere Community in Jenison, MI
Whether it’s the majestic waterfall at the entrance or the peaceful winding nature trails woven into the landscape, Lowing Woods stands out as a premier community in Jenison. Eastbrook Sales Agent Kurt tells EightWest more about what makes this community stand out.
“Beautiful new phase; some of the best lots we’ve got in the community,” Kurt tells Tom Hillen of EightWest. “Beautiful cul-de-sac, surrounded by a wooded ravine. Extremely sharp.”
Conveniently situated between the lake shore and downtown Grand Rapids, near I-196 and just 10 minutes from the Rivertown Crossings Mall, Lowing Woods is a large community offering residents an established neighborhood with abundant amenities. Unwind in the five-acre wooded wetland area, take a dip in the sizable in-ground pool or lounge around the Clubhouse’s patio area sipping wine by the fireplace. Love throwing parties? Host your next big event in the impressive community clubhouse.
EightWest sat down with Lowing Woods residents Sarah and Andy to learn more about their experience living here. After eight years of residency in the community, they couldn’t imagine leaving the neighborhood they loved. Fortunately, at the same time they realized their growing family demanded more space, Eastbrook was breaking ground on a new phase in the same neighborhood.
“So we were very fortunate that they were continuing to develop here,” Sarah tells EightWest, because we had the opportunity to build in many ways the house of our dreams in the back of the neighborhood.”
What do Sarah and Andy love most about Lowing Woods? It’s more than just the Homeowners Association.
“Eastbrook has really done a beautiful job in developing that sense of community here,” Sarah tells EightWest. She highlights the “things that tie the community together,” like the “green spaces and parks worked into the design of the neighborhood,” the community pool and clubhouse and the “people in the neighborhood that go out of their way to make it welcoming.”
A Simple Home-Building Process
Kurt explains to EightWest that at Eastbrook Homes, we focus on ease.
“There’s a lot of ease and simplicity. We’ve been in business for 57 years. We’ve got this process refined. If you want to find something, chances are we’ve got something that fits your needs,” he says.
Building a house comes with a lot of important decisions. At Eastbrook, we offer the freedom of having a wide range of choices, while providing necessary guidance to help home buyers avoid overwhelm and make informed decisions every step of the way.
“It’s limiting in a good way,” Andy explains, “in the sense that you’re not necessarily coerced into making every decision about everything; you’ve got almost a catalog. We basically picked the floor plan and then wandered around and looked for lots, and that was kind of the process. Pretty simple.”
Sarah shared that she loved walking through the Home Creation Studio. Being hands-on people, both she and Andy valued being able to touch and feel each material and see how they looked and felt together.
“You wouldn’t believe how she picked out the knobs,” Andy says, explaining how Sarah held every single cabinet and drawer knob until she found the one that felt the most comfortable in her hand.
Sarah adds that the ability to choose their materials and lay them out side by side helped them make important decisions about the design.
“That was very reassuring, especially with building a home at such a large financial commitment. You want to make sure that you get it right.”
Lots Selling Fast
Kurt tells EightWest that Lowing Woods has been a “super popular” and “well-received,” community, adding that the lots are already selling. So, how do you get started? Stop by a Lowing Woods open house Mondays between 10am and 4pm, Saturdays and Sundays between 12 and 3pm, or contact the Eastbrook team today. Kurt explains that home buyers who purchase now would get started with the design process. Next, they would visit the Home Creation Studio with the Eastbrook team to make selections and get a print going, and then from there the building process takes off.
