Saying Goodbye: Eastbrook Homes Southern

In 2008, Eastbrook Homes Southern made its first sale in Auburn, AL. Thirteen years later, we have made our very last sale in the gorgeous, master-planned community: The Preserve. While we are sad to be transitioning away from our Auburn team, we want to reflect on our time in Alabama and share the top highlights.

The Beginning

Eastbrook began building homes in Auburn, Alabama shortly after the Great Recession hit the United States. The trials that the recession brought on were offset by the beauty and desirability of the three communities we sold in: The Preserve, Shelton Cove, and Mimm’s Trail.

The Communities

These communities showcased the southern lifestyle, but also had their own unique offerings:

• The Preserve: A premier, master-planned community, The Preserve features a clubhouse, pool, water features, and trails, in addition to executive style home sites, zero-step entry homes and more!
• Shelton Cove: A beautiful, wooded community, Shelton Cove offers spacious, tree-lined home sites, a great location next to award-winning schools, and superb walkability.
• Mimm’s Trail: With ample green space and ponds, Mimm’s Trail showcases a convenient proximity to the local schools, a partnership with the Moore’s Mill Club, and large home sites.

The Homes

Building homes in Alabama allowed Eastbrook Homes Southern to specialize in brand new home types, styles, and designs. In Michigan, building homes with basements is second nature, but in the south, that’s not nearly as common. So, we learned to create beautiful living spaces via outdoor porches, sunrooms, formal dining rooms, and more.

Additionally, the design team at Eastbrook Homes Southern loved creating the charming brick exteriors that are rarer in Michigan. For pictures of our favorite Alabama home plans, see the gallery below.

The Team

Throughout our time in Auburn, we were fortunate to have worked with a fantastic, customer-focused team. Highlighted below are some of the accomplishments of our Alabama Team made up of Dean Priebe, Ricky Watts, Candice Willis, and Sylvia Paul:

While we are sad to see our Alabama efforts come to a close, we are also excited for the next chapter. We want to thank Dean, Ricky, Candice, and Sylvia wholeheartedly for their years of dedication, and we want to thank the homeowners that trusted Eastbrook Homes Southern to build their dream home.
