Hathaway Lakes

Located in Nunica, Hathaway Lakes offers a wide array of single-family homes and condominium designs. This scenic Eastbrook community recently expanded, offering additional homes along a newly constructed lake.

“We’re into what we call ‘Phase 10’ now, and it’s on a new piece of water,” said Matt Morrison, an Eastbrook Sales Agent, when speaking to eightWest. “It’s been really exciting to see the growth and the opportunity for our customers to come out to the lakeshore and join us here at Hathaway.”

It’s not just the homes, or the lakeside views, that make Hathaway Lakes an idyllic place to call home. With Lake Michigan just minutes away and the host of amenities within this scene community, there’s fun to be had by the whole family just outside your door. “We have great amenities here, and then we’re also just down the road from Lake Michigan,” said Morrison. “Everybody can enjoy that, but can still feel the sense of community and the feeling of home while they’re here.”

For more fitness aficionados and outdoor enthusiasts, Hathaway Lakes also provides easy access to an extensive trail system. Built to follow the path of an old railway, the miles of paths lead all the way to Spring Lake and the shores of Lake Michigan.

“We have the North Bank trail system that runs through Hathaway Lakes,” said Morrison. “That’s a very popular thing here.”

For Eastbrook homeowner Tyler Essenberg, the amenities, including the North Bank trail, were a big draw for him and his wife Kaylee in establishing roots in Hathaway Lakes.

“It’s great having the bike path. It’s safe, people are on it all the time, and it goes all the way into Grand Haven,” he said. “The amenities are great. They have the clubhouse, and you have access to the pool. You can throw a party there, a shower, so having access to that is great as well.”

Cook’s Crossing

Located off of 84th Street in Byron Center, not far from US 131 and M-6, Cook’s Crossing is a neighborhood offering single-family homes, townhomes, and courtyard homes at different price points for different styles of living and maintenance levels.

This desirable neighborhood is known for its proximity to top-rated Byron Center Schools and excellent private educational options, such as South Christian and Cross Creek Academy. The location of Cook’s Crossing is one reason that Kip and Brooke Biby decided to build in this neighborhood. “This neighborhood is close to Caledonia, Grandville, and Byron Center proper, so it’s just a good location and a pretty neighborhood,” said Kip. Cook’s Crossing’s location is also ideal for those seeking an active lifestyle. Just minutes from Brewer Park, residents can enjoy multiple sports fields and premier Disc Golf facilities, making it a haven for outdoor enthusiasts.

Brooke has really enjoyed the Eastbrook Homes building process, especially with the option to customize the style of their home to their preferences. Brooke explained, “Eastbrook Homes had a lot of collections to choose from, and the Farmhouse Collection really stood out.” She also loved how Jessica has kept her informed throughout the building process. “She sends weekly updates on where we are in the process with videos so it’s been super exciting to see the process along the way.”
