What does “Home for the Holidays” mean to you?

Home for the holidays means everything to us now that we have children. Being able to be home in Michigan with family and friends makes Christmas feel “real.” It never really felt like Christmas while in Florida because it was just the two of us, there was no snow, and it was so warm. We are excited to not only share traditions we grew up with but to start new ones with our children that they can hopefully one day pass down.

What is your favorite Christmas tradition?

My (Aimee) favorite Christmas tradition is watching “The Christmas Story” for 24 hours straight starting on Christmas Eve. Adam’s favorite Christmas tradition is waking up on Christmas morning and making a huge breakfast. 

How would you describe your Christmas decor style?

Our Christmas decor style is a mix of Modern Farmhouse and a bit of Country Rustic. 

What is your favorite feature in your home and why?

My favorite feature of our home is the kitchen! The custom hood is beautiful and the big island is perfect for gatherings. 

What home plan did you build or buy?

We bought the Stockton Plan and incorporated several upgrades. 

What do you love about your Eastbrook Community?

My favorite thing about the Eastbrook Community Lowing Woods is everyone is so friendly and neighborly. We became friends with several of our neighbors 6 months before we even moved in. They eagerly came over to meet and greet us on the first few times we visited our home site. We also love the fact that there are so many families in the neighborhood. Our kids will have a great group of friends as they grow.

What’s your favorite way to spread holiday cheer?

My favorite way to spread holiday cheer is to host gatherings. I love to cook and have everyone over for drinks and games. I am so looking forward to that now that I have a huge beautiful home to do so.
