Happy Fourth of July from Eastbrook Homes!
As people celebrate Independence Day across America, we will see our share of fireworks and other festivities throughout West Michigan, Lansing, and Auburn, AL. At Eastbrook Homes, we’d like to highlight some of the bigger events in each location.
West Michigan is full of great places to see local festivities. Grand Rapids, and Lansing both put on one of the best fireworks displays anywhere, but there are a lot of other events taking place as well. Check out the links below for more information.
Please Note – Some fireworks and other celebrations take place on Saturday, July 6th – please check the listing for details.
Grand Rapids, MI and nearby
Although many of the smaller townships in the Grand Rapids area host their own events, the city itself has a few extra attractions this July 4th along with the parade and fireworks display.
As you celebrate Independence Day this Fourth of July, please remember that safety is the most important consideration. Whether you are hosting a party in your back yard or attending someone else’s, please keep fireworks out of the reach of children and remember to use them carefully.
Also, please remember the grill can also present a hazard so never leave it unattended. And, no matter how hard it starts raining, the grill is meant to be used outside only. Never, ever inside.
Please remember your pets this July 4th, especially during your local fireworks display. Many animals do not tolerate the loud noises created by fireworks, especially any set off in your own back yard. Keep them inside, someplace quiet if you can.
Finally, for a good laugh, check out the Bath Township, MI Police Department’s tips for an enjoyable July 4th below –
“Hey gang, we need to get serious with you guys and gals for a second…
NO ONE and we truly mean NO ONE will watch your grainy fireworks video. You won’t ever even watch it. So sit back and enjoy the fireworks with your phone in your pocket. Please don’t make your friends tap through 20 minutes of fireworks snapchats.
Also, residency for students learning to become doctors around the USA usually starts July 1st. So, when you get drunk and stupid with fireworks guess who treats you at the hospital… a student. Good luck.”
