As we dive into 2021, the new year ahead feels full of hope and promise. At Eastbrook Homes, we’re looking forward to many new and exciting changes too.
From Rockford to Jenison, we’ve got lots of exciting announcements on the horizon so please sign up for our blogs to make sure you’ll be the first to know when a new phase or community is launched!
The coming year brings a hot housing market thanks to the low-interest rates. Although they are expected to rise slightly from the incredibly low rates we saw in 2020, this still means great building opportunities for you!
It also looks like interest rates are going to stay low through the rest of the year, which means, as always, Eastbrook Homes can continue to give you more home for your money.
The National Association of Realtors also expects mortgage rates to hit an average of 3.1 percent this year, up only .1 percent over the already low 3 percent in 2020. In contrast, the Mortgage Bankers Association believes rates will average 3.3 percent this year.
Either one sounds pretty darned good.
If you’re ready to build your dream home this year, we can put these numbers to work for you.
However, there are some lingering after-effects from Covid-19 and its impact on every industry. The housing industry and builders have been affected as much as anyone else.
If there is one disruptive issue new home builders are facing everywhere across the country, It’s supply chain disruptions.
With lumber prices hitting all-time highs in 2020, new home prices have seen the effects of the rising costs of building materials.
We are also seeing delays and shortages in other supplies and materials, but we’re working through all of it. In fact, we are making sure communication is one of our top priorities so you are in the loop at every stage of your new home project.
The bottom line is, we’re working through all of the challenges and changes on our end so you don’t have to. Through our Eastbrook Building Process and our relationships with local and national vendors, we do our very best to bring cost savings and timely milestones to your new home project.
We’ve also got more cool tools than ever to help you build the home of your dreams. We can help you choose your perfect model with just a few clicks of your mouse, try different layouts complete with furnishings and measurements, and the very best sales, design, and construction teams to help bring your project to life.
